Return to EU Project List |
The project’s its main objective is to “To help health and care assistance to acquire competences on Emotional Intelligence in order to improve the quality of their daily activities”. However, these concepts are too general and large and may be interpreted in different ways.
1. APPROACH OF THE PROJECT: The training will be focused on the Emotional Intelligence (EI) aimed to help workers to handle the emotions and the stress acquired in their daily job. We consider this approach more innovative than the one focused on relational competences.
2. TARGET GROUPS: a) Social care professionals (social assistants, psychologists, occupational therapists, carers, etc.) b) Health and Medical care professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, etc.), working in Social Care centres such as rehabilitation centres, day care centres or social institutions. We would explicitly exclude highly specialized health professionals working in hospitals or research centres, even if related to the beneficiary group of the project.
3. BENEFICIARY GROUPS: All those groups suffering a progressive loss of their physical functionalities, and therefore needing social care in addition to the medical treatment. It would include, for instance, people suffering degenerative illness affecting their functional abilities or elder people.
